CORNERSTONE BUILDING
Bellingham, WA
This 176,000-sf multi-use building was fit onto a triangle-shaped lot. Featuring four stories of wood-framed apartments over two stories of concrete framed commercial and parking space, augercast piles were used to support the large foundation loads. Post-tensioned concrete floors kept the building height within allowable limits and reduced reinforcing costs.
